Screen Sizes & Density Pixel (dp)
- There are many, many Android phones and they all vary in size. To achieve this goal you have to switch from px to density-independent pixels (dp or dip) as a unit of measurement.
- dp is Android's natural pixels and it's similar to pixels (iOS)
- Formula to convert px to dp: px = dp×(dpi/160)
- Dpi = ppi = pixels per inch
- The generally accepted size is 360dp х 640dp, and you can start your design with this size and scale up/down
